XOLO XD launched with up to 6GB RAM and Helio P22 SoC; price starts at 11,499 INR
XOLO today dropped the XOLO ZX smartphone in the market, which is targeted at youths and priced upwards of INR10,000. The new smartphone comes with HD+ notch display, dual-rear cameras, 16MP selfie shooter, and up to 6GB RAM as some of the highlighting aspects.
The XOLO ZX comes in two memory configurations. The 4GB RAM+64GB storage variant is priced at INR11,499 while the 6GB RAM+128GB storage model sets you back INR13,999. The smartphone goes on sale starting April 25 on Amazon India in Electric Blue and Midnight Blue color options.
The Jio customers recharging with INR198 and INR299 are eligible for INR2,200 worth cashback coming in the form of 44 vouchers of INR50 each. Additionally, 50GB 4G data is offered in the form of 5GB data per recharge for a maximum of 10 recharges. Other offers include a Cleartrip voucher worth INR2,800 and Mydala discount coupons worth INR5,000.
Diving into the specifications, the XOLO ZX sports a 6.22-inch HD+ IPS display with 19:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3 layer. There lies a wide rectangular notch up front allowing full-screen real estate though the bottom chin appears thicker.

Under the hood, there is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC clocked at 2GHz that pumps power paired with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage with up to 256GB expansion support via microSD card.
Talking about the imaging department, the XOLO ZX mounts a dual-rear camera setup comprising a 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor, both equipped with a dual-tone LED flash. The camera unit is preloaded with AI Refocus and AI Portrait features for better photo output. The AI Studio Mode is claimed to offer six different modes and light effects to enhance the images.
Up front, the XOLO ZX tacks on a 16MP Tetracell sensor with f/2.0 aperture, which is aided by Screen Flash to capture selfies. There is also a Face Unlock feature along with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometrics.
On the software side of things, the smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box while for juice it makes use of a 3,260mAh battery claimed for lasting up to 1.5 days on a single charge. With respect to connectivity options, the XOLO ZX supports Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, micro USB port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
