During the launch of Era 4X back in January this year the Indian smartphone brand XOLO had also laid bare the specifications of the Era 5X. And now the company has officially launched the device at a budget price of INR7,499.
The major talking point of XOLO Era 5X is its AI Studio mode that allows users to take images in six different camera modes.
In terms of specifications, the Era 5X is equipped with a 5.7-inch IPS In-Cell display with 1520x720p HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone is driven by a 2.0GHz clocked quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, which works in tandem with IMG PowerVR GE GPU, 3GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the software front, the XOLO Era 5X runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Star OS 5.0 skin laid on top. A 3,000mAh battery with 7.5W fast-charging support keeps the light on. To conserve battery the handset also throws in a few tricks like app intelligent power saver and AI battery manager.
The smartphone mounts a 13MP primary camera with 5P Largan lens and LED flash at the back while sports a 13MP secondary camera upfront that deals with selfie-snapping and video calling. The cameras are loaded with tons of image enhancing features such as HDR, Panorama, Portrait Lighting, Real-time Bokeh, AR stickers, Super Night mode, and Intelligent Selfie. Both the cameras are capable of recording FHD resolution videos.
For biometric authentication, the Era 5X comes with a circular fingerprint sensor stacked at the back besides the up-front Face Unlock feature. A range of connectivity options includes dual SIM slots, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and micro USB port.
The XOLO Era 5X is available online on both Flipkart and Amazon India platforms with a price tag of INR7,499. The smartphone comes in only one color hue, i.e. Black. In order to entice buyers, the Era 5X is offered with INR12,00 cashback along with 50GB additional 4G data on recharge of INR198 and INR299 Jio plans.
