Xiaomi Redmi 5 With HD+ Display And Snapdragon 450 SoC Launched Starting At 7,999 INR
Xiaomi today brings the successor of Redmi 4 called Redmi 5 to India. It will be available in Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Light Blue color variants starting from March 20. This is an Amazon exclusive smartphone which will also be available on Mi.com and Mi Home Stores.
Redmi 5 has been launched by the company in three storage variants including 2GB RAM with 16GB ROM variant which will be priced at 7,999 INR, 3GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage will cost at 8,999 INR and 4GB RAM with 64GB onboard storage will be available for Rs. 10,999.
Let’s talk about the details of this smartphone, Redmi 5 boasts of 5.7-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass display. It is accompanied by Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor with the clock speed of 1.8 GHz paired with Adreno 506 GPU.
Redmi 5 runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS with MIUI 9 skin on top. It sports a 12 MP auto focus rear shooter with LED flash light, f/2.2 aperture and phase detection auto focus. There is also a 5 MP front facing shooter which also comes with an LED flash light.
This hybrid dual SIM based handset runs on Android 8.0 Oreo OS with MIUI 9 skin on top. Redmi 5 also has a fingerprint scanner mounted on its rear and houses a 3300mAh battery. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, 3G / HSPA+, EDGE / GPRS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, Micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack.
