Xiaomi opens Registration for Refurbished and Unboxed Redmi 1S Units on Overcart

Xiaomi is back with one of its best selling device – Redmi 1S and this time the company has partnered with to sell unboxed and refurbished Xiaomi Redmi 1S units online. Refurbished Redmi 1S smartphones will be available at Rs 4,599 and unboxed devices will be available for 4,999 INR.

For those new to these terms, refurbished goods represent smartphones which users return after purchasing due to some minor defect. These issues are then resolved by company and then, such phones are sold as refurbished goods. Unboxed devices on the other hand are also returned units, but without any defect.

All these Unboxed and refurbished Redmi 1S devices go through an extensive testing process which is done by official Xiaomi service partners. All these devices will be certified by and will come with 14-day return guarantee and six-month Xiaomi warranty.

Saptarshi Nath, Managing Director, Overcart said, “The market has immense appetite for Xiaomi phones as is evident from their flash sales of new handsets. We were overwhelmed by the success of our first pilot sale, so we’ve significantly increased the number of units in our second sale.  Registrations are already pouring in.”

Xiaomi Redmi 1S was a huge success last year in India, as the Chinese manufacturer managed to sell around 1 million units. As far as specifications are concern, Redmi 1S includes a 4.7 inch HD IPS display with AGC Dragontrail glass layer on top and is powered by 1.6 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU along with 1 GB of RAM.

Xiaomi Redmi 1S has 8GB of ROM, an expansion slot for Micro SD card (up to 32 GB), 8 MP rear camera, 1.6 MP front camera and also houses 2050 mAh battery. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, Micro USB port and dual SIM connectivity.
