Vivo Y15 (2019) launched for 13,990 INR: Triple-rear cameras, 5,000mAh battery, and Helio P22 SoC
It was in 2014 that Vivo had first launched the Vivo Y15 smartphone, and now the company has again launched a new handset with the same moniker. And that’s why the Vivo Y15 is being referred to as the Vivo Y15 (2019) in the industry circle. The Vivo V15 (2019) joins the league with another Y-series handset, the Vivo Y17 that launched early this year.
The Vivo Y15 (2019) comes with a triple-rear-camera setup, water-drop notch display, and a massive 5,000mAh battery as some of the highlighting features to entice customers.
The new Vivo Y15 (2019) is priced at INR13,990 and is geared towards the low mid-range segment. The smartphone comes in Aqua Blue and Burgundy Red color options and will be available to buy on Flipkart, Amazon India, Paytm, Tata Cliq, Vivo India’s e-store as well as via offline channels.
Talking about the spec sheet of the Vivo Y15 (2019), it flaunts a 6.35-inch Halo FullView (1544x720p) HD+ IPS LCD display with 19.3:9 aspect ratio and 89% screen-to-body ratio. There is a water-drop notch at the top and a fingerprint scanner at the rear same as in the Vivo Y17.

Under the hood, the smartphone is kitted with a MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which is further expandable via microSD card.
In the imaging department, the Vivo Y15 (2019) mounts triple cameras at the back in line with other Y-series phones. The camera module includes a 13MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, an 8MP super-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 120-degree field-of-view, and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Up front, there lies a 16MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture buried in the water-drop notch.
On the software side of things, the Vivo Y15 (2019) boots Funtouch OS 9 running atop Android 9 Pie. A hefty 5,000mAh battery keeps the device fueled though it lacks the fast charging support. In terms of connectivity options, the phone supports 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, micro USB port, etc. It tips the scales at 190.5 grams and measures 159.43×76.77×8.92 in dimension.
