Vivo U10 with Snapdragon 665 SoC and 5,000mAh battery launched in India starting at 8,990 INR
After weeks of speculations, Vivo finally launched the Vivo U10 smartphone in India as the first offering under the newly-minted “U” series, geared towards the budget segment. In line with the rumors, the Vivo U10 comes with a Snapdragon 665 SoC and a hefty 5,000mAh battery. There are also triple cameras on the rear and a water-drop notch upfront housing the selfie camera.
The Vivo U10 is priced at INR8,990 for the 3GB RAM+32GB storage model and INR9,990 for the 3GB RAM+64GB storage model. The top-end 4GB RAM+64GB storage variant set you back by INR10,990. The smartphone will go on sale beginning September 28 via Amazon India and Vivo’s official website.
The Vivo U10 is available in Thunder Black and Electric Blue color options. The smartphone makes use of plastic back with a glossy finish, which mounts a fingerprint scanner and triple-rear cameras in a vertical layout situated on the top left corner. The front panel has a water-drop notch that helps in reducing the bezels.
The smartphone sports a 6.35-inch Halo FullView Display (LCD) with 1544×720 HD+ resolution and 19.3:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it is driven by a midrange Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core SoC built on 11nm process. The same SoC also underpins the likes of Mi A3 and the OPPO A9 (2020).

The dual- SIM Vivo U10 packs 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB built-in storage which is further expandable up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The smartphone features Ultra Game Mode for faster and smoother gameplay.
The triple rear camera setup includes a 13MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front side, there is an 8MP selfie shooter with f/1.8 aperture lurking inside the water-drop notch.
The smartphone runs Android 9 Pie with Funtouch 9.1 overlay which has Dark Mode feature. A mammoth 5,000mAh battery backs the phone with 18W Fast charging brick out-of-the-box. The company is touting 38.6 hours of talk time on a single charge.
On the connectivity front, the Vivo U10 supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, FM Radio, and micro USB port. It weighs 190.5 grams and measures 159.43×76.77×8.92mm in dimension. The Vivo U10 will be pitted against the likes of the Redmi Note 7, the Realme 5, Realme U1, and the Galaxy M20 which fall in the same ballpark.
