TECNO Spark Go and Spark 4 Air launched in India with a starting price of 5,499 INR

Hong Kong-based Transsion Holding sub-brand, TECNO Mobile, is trying to establish itself as a value-for-money smartphone brand in India with increased market share. To that effect, it recently said that after launching the triple camera armed TECNO Phantom 9 it has five more smartphones on the cards to launch by the end of 2019.

And two of them- TECNO Spark Go and TECNO Spark 4 Air- have already been launched yesterday. The Spark series is geared towards the low-tier budget segment in the Indian market.

The TECNO Spark Go is priced at INR5,499 for 2GB RAM+16GB storage option while the Spark 4 Air is priced at INR6,999 for 3GB RAM+32GB storage option.

The smartphones duo is available to purchase at more than 35,000 offline retail stores across the country in Nebula Black and Royal Purple color options.

For a limited period, the affordable version, the TECNO Spark Go, will be bundled out with a Bluetooth earpiece worth INR799 free of cost.

Both the devices are identical in terms of display, processor, selfie camera, and battery capacity. However, differences are reflected mainly in RAM and storage configuration as well as rear camera setup.

Both TECNO Spark Go and Spark 4 Air feature a 6.1-inch 1500x720p HD+ Dot notch display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 85 percent screen-to-body ratio, and 450nits brightness. The polycarbonate back of the devices has a gradient finish.

Both the smartphones are powered by a 2.0GHz MediaTek Helio A22 quad-core SoC which also drives the likes of the Vivo Y90 and the HUAWEI Y5 2019.

While the Spark Go packs 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage the Spark 4 Air comes with 3GB RAM and 32 GB storage. Both the phones have the expandability support up to 256GB via microSD card.

The TECNO Spark Go mounts a single 8MP AI camera with f/2.0 aperture with dual flash and a 5MP AI selfie camera with a micro slit front flash.

The TECNO Spark 4 Air, on the other hand, comes with a dual-rear-camera setup comprising a 13MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a VGA secondary sensor with dual-LED flash. Upfront, the Spark 4 Air sports a 5MP AI selfie camera same as the Spark Go.

Both the smartphones run Android 9 Pie with HiOS 5.0 overlay. A 3,000mAh removable battery keeps the light on in both the devices.

Last but not least, both the phones have face unlock 2.0 feature but it is only the TECNO Spark 4 Air which gets a fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear.
