Sony launched FDR-AX43 4K Handycam in India for 83, 490 INR

Sony India today launched its latest 4K Handycam, the FDR-AX43, which is mainly geared towards vlogging and content creation purposes. The Handycam comes with a bunch of excellent features including the in-built gimbal mechanism and Balanced SteadyShot technology for smooth, natural, and high-quality video footage.

The FDR-AX43 is priced at INR83,490 and will be available to buy starting March 6 across all Sony Center, Alpha Flagship stores, Sony Authorized dealers and major electronic stores across India.

The FDR-AX43 is armed with Fast-Intelligent Autofocus that lets the users capture moving subjects smoothly with better focus. Here AF algorithm interacts with the lens and image processor to lock an un-blurred and smooth image of the subject on the go.

To ensure shake-free videos the Handycam makes use of a gimbal mechanism coupled with Balanced Optical SteadyShot feature. The users can capture steady videos even during walking and in full zoom mode.

The device packs a 1/2.5-type Exmor R CMOS image sensor3[i] and BIONZ image processing unit. The former enhances the image quality with minimal noise along with ensuring soft background defocusing whereas the latter, BIONZ image processing engine, ensures faster image processing with vivid and life-like image quality.

The camera has a 5.20x optical zoom and a “Clear Image Zoom” of 30x for 4K/40x for HAD. The AX43 has a ZEISS lens with a wide-angle of 26.8mm to capture a wide area surrounding the subject.

The FDR-AX43 has an in-built multi-capsule microphone for premium audio connectivity. However, the users can enhance the experience further by attaching an external microphone via an extra connector onboard.

When it comes to battery life, the FDR-AX43 has the extra punch as it can last up to 235 minutes of continuous video recording.

One of the interesting features of the Sony FDR-AX43 is the Highlight Movie Maker feature by which users can add highlight points to key moments while recording the post, which will be automatically churned out in the form of a finished 4K or HD movie- with transitions synced to the user’s chosen soundtrack.
