Sony announces world’s fastest SD card and a Super Speed Card Reader

Sony has launched a new SD card which they claim to the “world’s fastest”. The SD card comes in Sony’s SF-G Series and this series is specifically directed towards photographers and videographers. The new SD card comes with a write speeds of up to 299MB/s and can perform well in photography as well as videography applications.

This new SD card is available in different storage options. You can choose from 32GB, 64GB AND 128GB and all of these feature a read speed of up to 300MB/s which is amazing for a SD card. This might just be the perfect SD card yet if you are looking forward to shoot 4K videos. When a user purchases this new SD card, they get Sony’s new software “Memory Card File Rescue” for free.


Sony also launched a new Super Speed Card Reader so that people can use this new card reader to transfer files between the SD card and PC at a faster transfer speed.

The SF-G32/T1 IN (32GB) SD card is priced at Rs 6,700 while the 64GB SF-G64/T1 IN comes at Rs 11,000. The 128GB SF-G128/T1 IN costs Rs 19,900 and all of these cards have five-year warranty. These cards will be made available in the market starting April 3rd 2017.

The MRW-S1/T1 IN card reader is priced at Rs 2,300 and it comes with 1 year warranty and it will also be available starting April 3.
