Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite launched in India starting at 38,999 INR: S Pen, Exynos 9810 SoC, and 4,500mAh battery

Samsung unveiled its much-anticipated Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite at the CES 2020 earlier this month. And today the S Pen-totting Galaxy Note 10 Lite has been launched in India making the latter possibly the first market to get hold of the smartphone.

The Galaxy Note 10 Lite is priced at INR38,999 and INR40,999 for the 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM variants, respectively. The smartphone goes on for preorder from today itself with sales slated to begin on February 3 via both online and offline channels. Customers will have three color options to choose from such as Aura Glow, Aura Black, and Aura Red.

The Galaxy Note 10 Lite is a scaled-down version of the Galaxy Note 10 with certain tweaks in the spec sheet.  The smartphone features a 6.7-inch full HD+ (2400×1080) Super AMOLED Infinity-O flat display with an embedded fingerprint scanner, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a small cutout for selfie camera punched on the top-middle portion of the front panel.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite is helmed by 10nm Exynos 9810 SoC mated to Mali G-72 MP18 GPU. The original Galaxy Note 10 is powered by 7nm Exynos 9825 SoC, however. Alongside, the Note 10 Lite packs 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage.

Unlike the Galaxy Note 10 which has no storage expansion facility, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite allows for 1TB storage expansion via microSD card. On the software front, the Note 10 Lite runs Android 10 with One UI 2.0 slapped on top.

A bigger 4,500mAh battery ticks inside the phone being equipped with 25W fast charging support. The battery draws charge through USB Type-C port.

Moving to the Glasstic back, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite packs triple cameras placed in a protruding square-shaped module. The camera setup includes a 12MP f/1.7 primary sensor with OIS, a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor, and a 12MP f/2.4 telephoto lens with OIS and 2x optical zoom. Upfront, a 32MP f/2.2 selfie camera with HDR lives inside the punch-hole cutout.

Other salient features are the Bluetooth integrated S Pen, Always-on HDR display, Samsung DeX support. After giving a miss to the Galax Note 10 the 3.5mm audio jack makes a comeback with the Galaxy Note 10 Lite. Seemingly the IP68 dust/water resistance rating and the NFC have failed to make it to the Galaxy Note 10 Lite.

Considering the pricing the Galaxy Note 10 Lite is primarily targeted at the OnePlus 7T. No doubt, the spec-rich OnePlus 7T is one of the most popular smartphones, but the availability of the S Pen with the Galaxy Note 10 Lite surely makes it an exciting proposition. Nonetheless, it remains to be seen how the Galaxy Note 10 Lite will fare against the competition in the coming days. Stay tuned.
