Realme 3i and Realme X launched in India starting at 7,999 INR and 16,999 INR respectivley

OPPO’s spin-off brand Realme has launched its premium mid-range smartphone, the Realme X and a more affordable, the Realme 3i in the Indian market today following a great deal of hype. The Realme X was originally launched in China in May this year while the Realme 3i is a pared down version of the previously launched Realme 3.

The Realme X comes with AMOLED notch-less display, 48MP dual cameras, Snapdragon 710 SoC, and in-display fingerprint scanner as its selling points, whereas the Realme 3i integrates a MediaTek Helio P60 SoC, dual-rear cameras and a bigger 4,230mAh battery for its price.

Prices and Availability

The Realme X is priced at INR16,999 for 4GBRAM+128GB storage model and INR19,999 for 8GB RAM+128GB storage model. The smartphone will be available on Flipkart and Realme website beginning Jul 24 in Polar White and Space Blue color options.

On the other hand, the Realme 3i is priced at INR7,999 for 3GB RAM+32GB storage model and INR9,999 for 3GB RAM+64GB internal storage. The phone will be available in three color options such as Diamond Black, Diamond Blue, and Diamond Red. The sale begins on Flipkart and Realme website on July 23.

Realme X Specs

Talking about the specifications of the Realme X, the smartphone in Realme portfolio is the first to sport a notch-less display. It flaunts a 6.53-inch full HD+ (1080x2340p) Super AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio as well as Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Under the hood, powering the handset is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core SoC paired with 4GB/8GB RAM and 128GB UFS2.1 internal storage with no provision for expansion.

Regarding optics, the Realme X has a dual-rear-camera setup at the back, consisting of a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a secondary 5MP depth sensor. The Super Nightscape mode, Chroma Boost, Bokeh Effect, and AI Scene Recognition feature also boost the camera arm of the device. There is a motorized 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies. To note, the camera configuration is the same as the OnePlus 7 which is already in the wild.


Ticking the entire things is a 3,765mAh battery with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging support that was first introduced with Realme 3 Pro. On the software side of the things, the Realme X boots Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS6 running on top.

The phone contains a 3.5mm audio jack along with a USB Type-C port. For enhanced performance and gaming experience, the Realme X is armed with HyperBoost 2.0 and GameBoost 2.0 features. And for the first time in Realme history, the Realme X comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded directly into the display as well as Dolby Atmos audio technology for the immersive sound experience.

Realme 3i Specs

Moving on to the Realme 3i, it offers a diamond-cut rear panel similar to the Realme C2. The smartphone flaunts a 6.22-inch full HD+ Dewdrop Full-Screen display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 88.3% screen-to-body ratio and thin bezels.

Pumping power from under the hood is a 12nm MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core SoC mated to Mali G72 MP1 GPU, 3GB/4GB RAM, and 32GB/64GB internal storage.

In the imaging department, the Realme 3i packs a dual-rear-camera setup that includes a 13MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture. The camera is armed with features like PDAF fast focusing, Bokeh effect, AI Scene recognition, and Multi-frame Noise Reduction. For low light photography, there is also a Super Nightscape mode. If we flip the phone, there is a 13MP AI selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture buried in the Dew-drop notch.

The smartphone is backed by a 4,230mAh battery with 12-hour of PUBG gaming session on the trot. For the software, it boots Android 9 Pie overlaid with ColorOS6. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner along with AI Facial Unlock for biometrics. It wields Triple slots with Dual VoLTE.
