Xiaomi’s spinoff brand POCO has launched yet another Pro-version smartphone dubbed as the POCO M2 Pro after the POCO X2 Pro and the POCO F2 Pro. Like the POCO X2 Pro, the POCO M2 Pro is also geared towards the mid-tier segment.
The POCO M2 Pro comes with quad-rear cameras and a large battery equipped with 33W fast charging as the main highlights. Besides that, the smartphone rocks the Snapdragon 720G processor. The POCO M2 Pro is mostly identical to the Redmi Note 9 Pro in terms of design and specs.
The POCO M2 Pro will go on its first sale on July 14 exclusively on Flipkart being available in three color options such as Out of Blue, Green and Greener, and Two Shades of Black. The smartphone is priced at INR13,999 for the 4GB RAM+64GB storage variant and INR14,999 for the 6GB RAM+64GB storage variant. The top-end 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant costs INR16,999.
Talking about its full specifications, the POCO M2 Pro flaunts a 6.67-inch full HD+ (1080×2400) LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, which also extends to the glass back panel.

- POCO X2 with 120Hz display and 64MP quad-camera launched in India starting at 15,999 INR
Pumping power from under the hood is Qualcomm’s 8nm Snapdragon 720G octa-core SoC coupled with Adreno 618 GPU, up to 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.1 internal storage. The phone also includes a dedicated slot for storage expansion up to 512GB via microSD card.
On the optics front, the POCO M2 Pro mounts a quad-rear camera setup comprising a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. For the selfies and video chatting, the smartphone features a 16MP sensor at the front, housed inside the centered hole-punch cutout.
The phone derives fuel from a 5,000mAh non-removable battery. The latter is supported by a 33W fast charging adapter that fills up a 50 percent charge in just 30 minutes. The POCO M2 Pro has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and P2i coating for splash and dust resistance.
As far as the connectivity options are concerned, the smartphone supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Besides, the phone possesses all the necessary sensors.
The POCO M2 Pro will battle it out against the likes of the Redmi Note 9 Pro, the Realme Narzo 10, the Realme 6, and the Vivo U20, etc. which fall in the same ballpark including more or less similar specs and features.
