OPPO Reno and Reno 10x Zoom Edition launched in India, price starts at 32,990 INR
The OPPO Reno series thanks to its shark-fin rising selfie camera, arresting design, and imposing specs has been able to generate a good amount of hype since its launch in China in April this year. The OPPO Reno lineup which includes the vanilla OPPO Reno and the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition is now launched for the Indian market today.
The OPPO 10x Zoom Edition is the high-end variant of the two and comes with a triple-rear-camera setup with a telephoto lens capable of 10x hybrid optical zoom. Also, the 10x Zoom Edition is powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC as differentiation from the Reno standard version.
Talking about the similarities, both the phones flaunt a panoramic AMOLED full-view notch-less display with HD+ resolution, 19.5 aspect ratio, 91.3% screen-to-body ratio, Gorilla Glass 6 protection, in-display fingerprint sensor,3.5mm audio jack, proprietary Breeno Assistant, Color OS 6 based on Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box, and the much-vaunted shark fin rising selfie camera module
OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition
Talking about the specifications of the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition, it features a 6.6-inch AMOLED notch-less display with HDR 10+ support. Under the hood, it is powered by a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage.
In terms of optics, the Reno 10x Zoom Edition mounts a triple camera module at the back, comprising a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, a second 8MP 120-degree super-wide-angle secondary sensor and a third 13MP sensor with a periscope telephoto lens capable of 10x lossless optical zoom technology. Up front, there is a 16MP selfie shooter housed in shark fin rising module.
For the fuel, the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition is backed by a 4,065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support.

Moving on to the OPPO Reno, it comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED notch-less display. At its gut, the smartphone derives power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
As against the triple-rear-camera setup of the Reno 10x Zoom Edition the OPPO Reno tacks on a dual-rear-camera setup which consists of a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. The front sports the same 16MP selfie shooter from the Reno 10x Zoom Edition.
A 3,700mAh battery supported by 18W fast charging technology keeps the juice flowing into the device.
Price and Availability
The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition is priced at INR32,990 for 6GB RAM/128GB storage model going up to INR49,990 for 8GB RAM/256GB storage model. While the OPPO Reno is priced at INR32,990 for 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage sole variant. The Reno 10x Zoom Edition will be available in Jet Black and Ocean Green color options.
Both the smartphones will go on sale starting June 7 on Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Tata Cliq, etc. as well as via offline channels. Nevertheless, the 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant of the Reno 10x Zoom Edition will exclusively be available online.
