Expanding its portfolio of smartphones, Transsion Holding’s online-exclusive sub-brand Infinix has launched a new smartphone in India, dubbed as the Infinix Hot 7 Pro which is also the successor to the Infinix Hot 6 Pro. The latter phone when launched back in July last year was priced at INR7,999, whereas the new Infinix Hot 7 Pro is priced at INR9,999.

But with an increase in price, the Hot 7 Pro also comes with some salient upgrades such as a bigger display, dual camera on both back and front, 6GB RAM, and beefy 4,000mAh battery. In fact, with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, the Infinix Hot 7 Pro is the only sub-10k phone available in the Indian market right now.

The smartphone will go on sale starting June 17 via Flipkart and to sweeten the pot, Infinix will offer the handset to be purchased at INR8,999 only, with a discount of INR1,000, from June 17 to 21. The Infinix Hot 7 Pro will be available in Midnight Black and Aqua Blue color options.

Now jumping on to the specifications, the Infinix Hot 7 Pro flaunts a 6.19-inch 1500x720p HD+ display with a wider notch, 18.75:9 aspect ratio, and 2.5D curved glass protection. The notch accommodates the earpiece, proximity sensor, and dual selfie cameras.

Under the hood, there is a 12nm MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core SoC that pumps power paired with PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 6GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage, expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.

In the imaging department, the Infinix Hot 7 Pro mounts a dual camera setup at the back, comprising a 13MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor. The rear camera module supports AI Portrait, AI HDR, AI Beauty, AI Bokeh, Night Mode, etc.

The front also tacks on the same 13MP+2MP camera configuration but here the primary 13MP sensor has the f/2.0 aperture. The selfie camera setup is laced with AI Portrait and AI Beauty Mode as well.

Ticking the entire things is a 4,000mAh battery that is said to offer 27 hours of talk time. On the software side of things, the Infinix Hot 7 Pro boots XOS 5.0 running atop Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. For biometric authentication, the handset is equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

As far as the connectivity options are concerned, the 7.19mm Infinix Hot 7 Pro supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB port to name a few.
