HMD Global announced Nokia 220 4G and Nokia 105 feature phones, pricing starts at approx 999 INR
Let’s not forget apart from making smartphones HMD Global also makes low-budget feature phones and it makes them in good numbers. To that end, HMD has added two new phones, the Nokia 220 4G and the Nokia 105, in this portfolio.
The Nokia 220 4G is a 4G variant of the Nokia 220 which was launched in 2014 while the Nokia 105 is a reboot version of the original Nokia 105 launched back in 2013. Both the feature phones are made up of plastic and sport a candy bar design. Both come with QQVGA color display and physical keypad which is rubberized for the Nokia 105 and plastic for the Nokia 220 4G.
The Nokia 220 4G is priced at EUR39 (Approx. INR3,000) and will be available in Black and Blue color options while the Nokia 105 is priced at just EUR13 (Approx. INR999). The latter will come in Pink, Blue, and Black paint jobs.
Talking about the Nokia 220 4G, it features a 2.4-inch display and is powered by Feature OS. The device has 16MB RAM and 24MP storage. It mounts a VGA camera with an LED flash. The phone supports GSM/GPRS 900/1800 (EU), LTE1 Cat-1, 10Mbps DL/5Mpps, 4G with 2G rollback.

Other connectivity options include 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 4.2, FM Radio, and MP3 player. The Nokia 220 4G is backed by a 1,200mAh battery that ensures up to 6.3 hours of talk time and up to 27 days on standby.
The Nokia 105, on the other hand, comes with a smaller 1.77-inch display. While the handset boots Series 30+ OS it packs 4MB RAM and 4GM internal storage.
An 800mAh battery keeps the light on and provides up to 14.4 hours of talk time and 25.8 days standby. With FM radio a torchlight comes in tow as well. The device supports GSM 900/1800 networks.
About connectivity options, the Nokia 105 supports Micro USB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack. Like the olden days of Nokia, the device is also pre-installed with games such as Snake, Sky Gift, Tetris, and Airstrike.
Both the smartphones are slated to go on sale in mid-August but an exact date of availability is yet to be announced. As to when the devices will hit the shelves in India it also remains under wraps for now.
