Datawind which is known for its association with cheapest tablet computer project- Aakash, has today launched two new entry level smartphones- PocketSurfer 2G4X and PocketSurfer 3G4Z in India. The company has collaborated with Reliance Communications to offer free data plan for consumers. Let’s have a look on the specifications of PS 2G4X and PS 3G4Z.
PocketSurfer PS 2G4X
PS 2G4X features a HVGA (320 X 480 pixels) display and is powered by 1 GHz Cortex A5 processor, 256MB RAM, 512 MB memory, expandable up to 32GB. The handset is running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and includes VGA cameras at both front and rear surface. The dual SIM handset supports 2G connectivity option only.
PocketSurfer PS 3G4Z
DataWind PocketSurfer 3G4Z is equally cringe worthy, even when it has a bumped up specs and supports 3G connectivity. The handset is powered by 1 GHz Cortex A7 processor backed by 512MB RAM and 4GB RAM. The handset is running Android 4.4 KitKat and includes a 5MP rear camera and a VGA front shooter. The display here is 4 Inches in size with 480 x 800 pixels.
Needless to say both of these handsets are a far cry from modern day handsets, but the ultra-affordable price of 2,999 INR and 3,999 INR robs us of our urge to rant.
