Coolpad Mega 5A launched in India for Rs. 6999 – 5.45-inch 18:9 display, dual rear cameras and more

Coolpad has woken up from a long slumber in India has the company has launched their new Mega 5A in India. The phone is targeted towards people looking for a budget Android device and it comes with a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC9850K processor which is coupled with 2GB RAM and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

Other features of the phone include an 18:9 display which has a size of 5.45-inches. The phone also has a dual camera setup on the back along with a fingerprint sensor. The dual camera setup on the back has an 8 MP sensor with autofocus which is bundled with another 0.3 MP camera to help you capture portrait mode photos.


The front has a 5 MP camera and the phone supports face unlock thanks to this selfie shooter. The phone supports dual SIM and microSD cards and both SIM and SD card slots have been kept separate which means you can insert two SIM cards in the phone and still use a microSD card for expandable storage. The phone has a 2500mAh battery which should give the customers a decent battery life as the phone has a 720p display which will save some battery juice while being used. At a price tag of Rs. 6999 this is a great phone with amazing value for money.

Looks like Coolpad has plans to take things slowly this time as they restart sales for new smartphones in India. The phone is priced at Rs. 6999 and is only available in Golden color.
