This year was an amazing year in terms of flagships and we can expect great new things for the next year. The upcoming year will bring new technologies like 5G, new in-display fingerprint technologies, real bezel less smartphones and more. But 2018 was no less and we saw some serious horsepower in smartphones launched this year as well. Out of all the flagships we came across this year, we have listed some of the ones that really caught our attention and they deserve to be in this list.

Samsung Galaxy Note9

The first device on our list of best flagship devices of this year is the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The device features a 6.4 inches Super AMOLED Display which has a 514 ppi or pixel per inch. Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is powered by an Exynos 9 octa-core processor along with 6GB of RAM. This is a perfect combination of internals when it comes to performance.

Coming to the cameras, we have a 12 MP + 12 MP dual camera set up at the rear which does have a portrait mode and a LED Flash. To the front, on top, we can find an 8MP front-facing camera. There is a 4000 mAh capacity battery under the hood which supports Quick Charge 2.0.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro

Continuing with the list of Best Flagship Smartphones launched in 2018, we have a Huawei Mate 20 Pro. This device is one of the most popular devices of this year by the Huawei. It has a 6.39 inches OLED Display. The device is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin processor along with 6GB of RAM. On the camera sides, we have a triple camera setup which comprises 40 MP + 20 MP + 8 MP sensors.

We can also find a 24 MP front-facing camera for the selfies. All this is backed up by a 4200 mAh capacity battery which supports fast charging.

Google Pixel 3 XL

On number 3, we have the Google’s Pixel 3 XL which is the third generation of pixel devices. This device comes with a 6.3 inches OLED Panel. The color reproduction of this panel is pretty accurate. The Pixel 3 XL is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 845 chip along with 4GB of RAM. We tested this device and find the performance of this device top notch. Talking about the notch, we can also see a notch on the top of the device.

Coming to the cameras, we can find a 12.2 MP rear camera which is capable of taking portrait shots with good bokeh effect. There is also an 8 MP + 8 MP camera setup at the front of the device which can take some great selfies. Underneath, there is a 3430 mAh passing on the juice to the device.

iPhone XS

And of course, how can we compile any flagship device list without Apple’s offering. Right? That’s why we have the iPhone XS on the number 4. This device packs a 5.8 inches OLED display. This device is powered by a hexacore Apple A12 Bionic chip along with 4 gigs of RAM. The iOS works well on this device. The cameras on the iPhone XS is a dual 12 + 12 MP on the rear and a 7-megapixel front-facing camera.

This makes the iPhone XS to be one of the best camera smartphones of 2018. Everything on this device is backed up by a 2658 mAh capacity battery which supports fast charging and is non-removable.

LG G7 ThinQ

At last, we have the LG G7 ThinQ which has a 6.1 inches IPS LCD Display which has a pixel density of 563 pixels per inch. The G7 ThinQ is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip along with 4GB of RAM. There is a 64 GB of internal storage which is expandable via MicroSD Card. Coming to the cameras, the device features a 16 MP + 16 MP rear camera.

We can find an 8-megapixel front-facing camera to the front. All this is backed up by a 3000 mAh capacity battery. This battery supports Quick Charging 3.0 and uses a USB Type C port for charging.
