Asus launches Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 in India

Asus has launched two new smartphones in India – the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 is the successor to the incredibly successful Max Pro M1. The second device they launched is the successor to last year’s Max M1, the Asus Zenfone Max M2. Both of these smartphones have been updated with a totally new design and some really amazing features.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2

The Max Pro M2, as mentioned above is the successor to the Max Pro M1 and it comes with a 6.26-inch Full HD+ display with a notch. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for display protection and under the hood, the phone runs on Snapdragon 660 processor. For RAM, Asus offers 3GB, 4GB RAM 6GB options.

The phone runs on Stock Android 8.1 Oreo but you will be able to update it to the current Android 9 Pie. In the camera department, the phone offers a dual camera set up with a 12 MP primary sensor and a 5 MP secondary sensor. The front sports a 13 MP camera with LED flash both at the front and the back.

The front camera can be used for face unlock and Asus is planning an update in which they will add AI features and EIS to the front camera.

The phone has a completely new glass back that Asus like to mention as a 3D glass-like rear panel. It has a wave design and you will also find the fingerprint sensor on the back. The phone has dedicated dual SIM and microSD card slot so you don’t have to deal with a hybrid slot. Apart from that, the phone also supports Dual 4G VoLTE and all this is powered by a 5000mAh battery which is amazing. The sad part is that Asus has again decided to go with a micro USB port so you miss out on USB Type-C and fast charging.
