Xiaomi announced today that they will be launching the Redmi Note 4X on February 14th. The Redmi Note 4X will be a more powerful version of the Redmi Note 4 and is expected to launch with a Snapdragon 653 which is a chipset much more capable and powerful as compared to the Snapdragon 625. The Snapdragon 653 is a choice that Xiaomi might just make over a MediaTek chip. Currently the Indian version of the Redmi Note 4 comes with a Snapdragon 625 and the Chinese version sports the Helio X20.
There have been leaks about the phone since December 2016 and as per an image of the phone’s About screen, the phone will have 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage and it will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8.1 on top. Rest of the specifications will be similar to the Redmi Note 4. You can expect a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display with 2.5D glass. There might be a 16MP or a 13MP primary camera along with dual tone LED flash and the front camera will be of 5MP.
The fingerprint sensor will stay on the back and there will be a 4000+ mAh battery with expected Quick Charge 3.0. But take these specifications with a pinch of salt as they’re still not confirmed and we will only know about a week later what Xiaomi has in store for us.
