Xiaomi has today introduced its first ever Mi Home Store in India which is located at Phoenix Market City Mall in Bengaluru. This store will open to the public from 20th of May, 2017 onwards. This first Mi Home store of Xiaomi combines the best of online and offline retail experience. You can check Xiaomi devices at Mi Store before ordering them through online channels.
Xiaomi has 70 Mi Home stores in its home country China. The company has also set an interesting record of receiving 24,000 visitors in just a single day at their first Mi Store in Beijing.
The company said that they want to expand in India through both online and offline markets. That’s only logical because the offline market is huge in India. The company also divulged its plan to open 100 Mi Stores in India in next two years. The company will first target metro cities for first few Mi Stores. All these stores will feature all Xiaomi products including smartphones, power banks, headphones, fitness bands, air purifiers and more.
This offline store of Xiaomi will be open at 9.00 am sharp on 20th of May, 2017. You can also book your favorite Mi smartphone on www.mi.com/india from 16th of May, 2017 onwards and choose to collect it from the offline Mi Home store, once it opens.
Speaking at the launch, Manu Jain, Vice President, Xiaomi and Managing Director, Xiaomi India said, “We are extremely excited to announce the first ever Mi Home in India, marking yet another important milestone in Xiaomi’s India journey. We are using the lessons learnt from operating a very successful and lean online channel to offline retail via our Mi Home stores. Mi Home stores are built on our Internet+ new retail concept, and will have efficiencies similar to the online channel. We will provide a phenomenal user experience, where Mi Fans will be able to browse and experience our products first-hand at their leisure, before making a purchase. Setting up offline stores will also help to make our products more readily available for buyers across the country.”
