Xiaomi has broken many records in India by clearing its stocks in a matter of seconds on online channels. Now the company has set a new record by garnering over Rs. 5 Crore in sales revenue in just 12 hours of opening of its first Mi Home Store in Bengaluru.
Xiaomi had announced its first Mi Home Store on 11th of May, 2017 which was opened to public on 20thMay, 2017. According to the company more than 10,000 customers visited Mi Home Store on the opening day to purchase their favorite Xiaomi products.
Major portion of the revenue was generated by the sales of smartphones including Redmi 4, Redmi 4A and Redmi Note 4. Many Mi Fans also bought Mi Audio accessories, VR Players, Air Purifier 2, Mi Router 3C and Mi Band 2. The Redmi Note 4 has replaced the Samsung Galaxy J2 and becomes a best-selling smartphone in Quarter 1 of this year.
This Mi Home Store is situated in Phoenix Marketcity Mall in Bangalore and selling a range of Mi smartphones, power banks, Air Purifiers, fitness bands, headphones, etc. Xiaomi promises that unlike its offline retail shelves, Mi Home will never be out of stock.
Commenting on this new record of Xiaomi, Manu Jain, Vice President and Managing Director of Xiaomi India, said, “It was an extremely emotional day for all of us at the opening of our first Mi Home store. I am humbled by the unprecedented outpouring of love from all our Mi Fans who started lining up from 8 AM in the morning. I had a fun filled day with spending time with our fans, billing at the counters for our customers, entertaining people standing in queue and answering multiple queries at Mi Home. Never did I imagine that with every passing hour we were quietly creating history in the Indian retail market.”
The company has also said that they are planning to open over 100 Mi Home Stores across India and the first few will open in metro cities where Mi Fans can come and experience the new Xiaomi products.
