After the success of its ‘Perfect Selfie’ Vivo V5, the Chinese manufacturer is all set to push the Selfie experience even further with its Vivo V5 Plus – A handset that includes dual front selfie shooters!
Not much is known about the specifications of the handsets as of now. Vivo will launch the handset on January 23 in India and that is when it will be sharing more information including the availability and price details. We do expect the moonlight flash and the new Beautify software on Vivo V5 to be passed on to its successor.
As ‘revolutionary’ as Vivo’s Selfie camera might be, the Vivo V5 Plus isn’t the first phone to flaunt an extra shooter up front.
The Lenovo Vibe S1 was the first dual front camera handset that used the extra sensor for depth sensing. The camera app allowed you to click selfies at mundane places and then cut and paste the selfie subject on picturesque backdrops.
The LG V10 that came later also had two 5MP front cameras. The extra shooter in this case was used for ultra-wide angle selfies. These 120 degree selfies however had some fish-eye distortions at the corner.
We are eager to witness and test Vivo’s implementation. Let’s wait and watch what selfie tricks the Vivo V5 Plus brings to the table.
