Videocon has today launched two new budget smartphones – Infinium Z51Q Star and Infinium Z51 Punch, which will be available for 5490 and 5999 INR respectively. Hardware specs are similar on both devices, with most noticeable difference being a bigger battery in Infinium Z51 Punch.
Both smartphones include a 5 Inch FWVGA(854 X 480) pixel display and are powered by 1.2GHz quad core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. Standard 32GB MicroSD expansion is also supported. On the eve of Marshmallow launch, we can’t help but be a bit dismissive about the presence of Android 4.4 KitKat in these devices, even at a budget price point.
The Videocon Infinium Z51Q Star includes a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front camera and a 2000mAh battery. Infinium Z51 Punch on the other hand includes a bigger 8MP rear camera sensor, 5MP front camera and a beefier 3000mAh battery.
Both of these dual SIM phones include standard set of connectivity options including 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
Commenting on the launch, Jerold Pereira, CEO, Videocon Mobile Phones, said, “Videocon Mobile Phones endeavours to meet the emerging requirements of value-for-money smartphones, which combine robust performance with unmatched features. Our smartphones are targeted at users who aspire to own a good-looking phone, which offers the best of features at a pocket friendly price.
The newly launched smartphones Z51 Punch and Z51Q Star offer a unique combination of speed and features, high on style and all at a very competitive pricing. With our latest smartphone range, we aim to ensure that the varied needs of new-age smartphone users are being fulfilled indigenously.”
