True Software, has today launched a messaging app- Truemessenger, following the success of Truecaller and Truedialer. Truemessenger will entail same benefits to smartphone messaging, which Truecaller adds to smartphone calling. Truemessenger is exclusive available on Android devices in India for free and the company has not disclosed when it will be available for iOS and Windows Phone users.
SMS spam is a grand and thoroughly irritating problem. Most smartphone users have shifted to internet based messaging and thus the major content in our SMS app is spam. This can be particularly irritating when once in a while you need to use SMS or when too much junk hogs your limited phone storage and slows it down.
The new messaging app aims to resolve this issue. Truemessenger can identify unknown SMS senders and can separate spam messages automatically in a separate section for your convenience. This ensures that your inbox is clutter free and organized with minimal effort from your end.
To use this messaging app, users need to download it from Google Play Store and go through a simple mobile number verification process. Once verified, the app asks your consent to set it as a default messaging app.
When you open your Truemessenger, you can see two folders – Inbox and Spam. You can tap on any message you don’t want to see in your inbox and send it to spam folder. True software has joined hands with Avicii to create a special and unique message alert tone for Truemessenger. You also get the option to go with another tone if you don’t like it.
Speaking at the launch, Alan Mamedi, CEO & co-founder of Truecaller, said, “Today’s messaging apps are under constant attack from spammers and surrounded by uncertainty, but when we communicate via email for instance, our email app shows you the sender’s name and filters out spam messages for you, but SMS has lacked these essential components – until today,” said. “With Truemessenger we’ve reimagined the SMS app experience by making it more social and putting control back into the users’ hands so they always know who they are communicating with.”
Main Features of Truemessenger include
· The ability to put a name to a number, even for contacts outside your phonebook.
· The resources to detect, block, and report spam alongside other Truecaller members to build a smarter community.
· The option to avoid messages from unwanted numbers and contacts.
· A clean Inbox where spam messages are magically sent to a separate folder.
· The ability to add advanced filtering options by creating customized filters with known spam keywords or number series (area codes or country codes).
