LeEco Le 2, which was launched in India at the start of this month, looks very similar to its predecessor LeEco Le 1s but still there are several improvements in terms of specifications and user experience. LeEco has tried to eliminate all flaws of the last generation handset, and it is totally understandable if you are considering it as your next phone. Here are 5 reasons you should buy LeEco Le 2.
Design and Build Quality
This sleek and beautiful handset is made purely of metal rather than plastic that we usually see in this price range. It’s comfortable for one hand operations, but is a little bit slippery. It’s quite slim measuring 7.5mm in thickness and is also noticeably lighter than its predecessor. The overall build quality of LeEco Le 2 is quite impressive in this price range.
You can find an IR blaster and a 3.5mm audio jack on the top. A USB Type-C port and a mono speaker presents at the bottom. It has a SIM card tray slot which has been placed on the left edge. On the other side, there is a volume rocker and a power button presents on the right edge.
It has a microphone for noise cancellation and a fingerprint scanner like Le 1s on its rear, but is rounded square in shape. It has a front camera, LED notification light and an earpiece just above the display.
Now, coming to the display, Le 2 has a 5.5 inch IPS LCD panel with full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution which amounts to 401 ppi. Along with 500nits brightness and 80% NTSC color gamut support, which offers you nice viewing angles. It is easily one of the best display you can get in this price range.
CDLA lossless music and free CDLA earphones for first flash sale worth 1990 INR
LeEco Le 2 doesn’t include the traditional 3.5mm audio jack, but instead, it boasts of a new CDLA loss-less audio technology. If you need to listen to music you just need to connect Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) earphones with USB type-C port and can experience flawless music.
This audio output is much better than 3.5mm audio jack. There are also few drawbacks of this technology. You will need proprietary headphones with you at all times and you can’t listen to music when your phone is charging. Overall, the end result should be very pleasing for audiophiles.
CDLA earphones are available with a price tag of 1990 INR, but you can get these earpiece for free in first flash sale.
LeEco Le 2 employs an octa core processor (four cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and another four cores clocked at 1.2 GHz) as part of Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset. It offers smooth performance without any lag or heating. There is 3GB of RAM in which almost 1.7 GB is free on first boot.
Internal memory of this handset is 32GB in which almost 23GB remains free for users. LeEco Le 2 has 3000mAh battery which takes less than an hour to charge and enough for a full day for mixed usage.
There is 16 MP auto focus camera on its rear side with dual tone LED flash which is good enough to capture pictures even in low light conditions. It captures natural colors and offers you nice details when you zoom images. There is also an 8 MP selfie camera for detailed selfies.
The phone will go on sale on 28th June 2016 on Flipkart. You will get free CDLA earphones worth 1,990 INR and LeEco Membership worth 4,990 INR free with the smartphone.
