Samsung has today launched its latest smartphone which runs on Tizen OS- Samsung Z3 at an event in New Delhi, India with the price tag of 8,490 INR. The smartphone will be available through offline retail stores and online channel Snapdeal from 21st October 2015 onwards.
Samsung Z3 is equipped with a 5 inch HD Super AMOLED display and is backed by quad core Spreadtrum SC7730S processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, along with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of ROM and an expansion slot for microSD card which supports up to 128GB.
Samsung Z3 sports an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture and also has a 5 MP
front facing shooter with f/2.2 aperture and 120 degree wide selfies mode. It is powered by 2600mAh battery with ultra power saving mode but there is no words about talk time or standby time.
This smartphone comes with My Galaxy app which will be a portal for different kinds of deals everyone can benefit from. Samsung Z3 also comes with Mix Radio app which is free for lifetime and has more than 30 million songs. Samsung has also tied up with Vodafone to offer 1GB of free internet data per month for 2 months.
On the software front, Samsung Z3 runs on Tizen OS 2.3. Connectivity features include EDGE / GPRS, 3G / HSPA+, Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS / A-GPS, Micro USB port.
Speaking at the launch, H.C Hong, President and CEO, Samsung India Electronics, said, “The launch of Samsung Z3 re-emphasizes India’s significance as a key centre for innovation and development on the Tizen operating system, with India being the first country to globally launch the Z3. We were encouraged by the huge popularity of Samsung Z1, the first Tizen OS powered smartphone that sold over one million units within six months of its launch earlier this year.”
