Tata Docomo and NDMC Make Connaught Place, New Delhi a Public Wi-Fi Zone

Tata Docomo has launched its Public Wi-Fi Connectivity in the heart of New Delhi – Connaught Place and for this it has joined hands with New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi inaugurated the public Wi-Fi services at the ceremony, organized in Central Park CP and Mr. Shankar Agarwal, Urban Development Secretary was also present at the event.

This Pubic Wi-Fi Service will cover the inner and outer circle of this commercial and entertainment hub of New Delhi. To avail and enjoy the service of Wi-Fi users need a valid mobile number for their devices and after this users will receive a one-time password to enjoy Wi-Fi services. You can enjoy first 20 minutes of the service free of cost and after this you can buy the recharge card to continue further, starting from Rs. 10 for 30 minutes, Rs. 20 for 60 minutes and Rs. 50 for 180 minutes. These recharges are available online and Tata Docomo retail outlets. Users can call the Wi-Fi call centre number +91 11 60607070 for any service related query.

Launching the CP Wi-Fi Service, Mr. N. Srinath, Managing Director, Tata Teleservices Limited, said, “We are excited about our association with the NDMC on this initiative.  Today, Wi-Fi is the new oxygen for the ever-connected generation of smart device users.”

Addressing the gathering at the launch, Mr. Jalaj Shrivastava, Chairman, NDMC said, “Enriching facilities such as the Wi-Fi connectivity across Connaught Place showcase the futuristic path NDMC has taken to bring the city at par with international standards.”

These days Wi-Fi is an absolute necessity as youngsters like remaining connected with their friends and family throughout the day. There are lot of coaching centers, cinemas and restaurants, cafeteria and offices in CP which make it a great hang out place, for people of all ages. Wi-Fi connectivity at such a place will definitely benefit community.
