Swipe technologies has launched a new 4G VoLTE smartphone, Swipe Elite Star, priced at 3,333 INR. The handset is running Android Marshmallow based Indus OS and will be available in Black and White color options.
The Indus OS is of Indian origin, supports 12 regional languages, and includes features like Indus Swipe, Word and Matra prediction, Indus Reader, Indus Messaging, and a Hybrid Keyboard. Domestic manufacturers Swipe, Celkon and Micromax have partnered with Indus to use the operating system on their budget devices.
Swipe Elite Star comes with a 4-inch WVGA display and is powered by 1.5 quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. You can also add up to 32GB of microSD card support.
The Swipe Elite Star comes with a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3MP front camera. The handset also includes a modest 2000mAh battery with fast charging support.
The handset is quite thick measuring 10.6mm in thickness. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Bluetooth.
