Sony Xperia Z Ultra launched in India for Rs 46,990

Sony has launched their latest smartphone Xperia Z Ultra in India. It was announced last month and went on sale in India via various online retailers last week. It features a 6.4 inch full HD Triluminos display with X-Reality engine.

The phone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and it is powered by a 2.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor along with 2GB of RAM and Andreno 330 GPU. It is the first device in India to be powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor. The phone has 16GB internal storage which can be expanded by using microSD card. It packs a 8 megapixel back camera and 2 megapixel front facing camera.

The phone is just 6.5mm thick which makes it the world’s slimmest full HD device. It has a IP55/IP58 rating which certifies that it is a waterproof device upto a certain extend. The device comes with a powerful hand writing recognition and it is compatible with pencil, pen and stylus.

Xperia Z Ultra comes in black, white and purple colors and it is priced at Rs 46,990 (MRP). Company has tied up with Vodafone to offer free 8GB data for two months. The device would be available across various retailers in India from 2nd August.
