Today Sony has officially announced about their new Xperia Tablet Z which was rumored to be announced at the CES 2013. The tablet runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. It is just 6.9mm thick and weighs around 495 grams. It is slimmer than the Apple iPad or the new iPad Mini.
The tablet features a 10.1 inch 1920 x 1200 resolution display which is powered by Mobile Bravia Engine. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz Quadcore Snapdragon processor and 2Gb RAM. The device comes with 32GB internal storage. The tablet is also dust proof and water proof to a limited extend.
Talking about the connectivity, it would support LTE networks and would also have NFC. The tablet would initially be launched in Japan this spring. Currently Sony has not commented about its International launch or the price. But we are guessing that it would be showcased at the MWC 2013 next month.
