Sony Walkman WS623 Wireless Headset Launched In India At Rs. 8,990

Sony India today launched its WS623 Sports Walkman in India priced at Rs. 8,990. As their name indicates, the new Walkman has been specially designed keeping the interest of sportspersons in mind.

They are IP68 certified for water and dust resistant, which implies that they can withstand submersion in up to 2-meter deep salt water for up to 30 minutes. Sony also bundles a set of separate waterproof earbuds that can be used while consciously entering the water.

The WS623 Sports Walkman can also endure extreme temperatures ranging from – 5 degree Celsius to 45 degree Celsius. It weighs just 32grams, has an ergonomic design that stays put even with physical movements, and also has an ambient sound mode that can help listen to ambient audio picked by an inbuilt microphone without taking off the headset.

You can directly store music on its 4GB of native storage. Sony claims 12 hours of uninterrupted backup on a full charge and 60 minutes of Playback on just 3 minutes of charging. You can fully charge them in 1.5 hours.

The Wireless headset can connect to your portable gadgets using NFC or Bluetooth. Sony Walkman WS623 will be available across all major Sony retail stores in India for 8,990 INR starting from June 15, 2017.  They will compete against the likes of Samsung Gear Icon X wireless earbuds.
