Sony has launched three new professional cameras in India. The Rx10 is a bridge style camera which offers DSLR like features in a compact form factor, whereas Alpha 7 and Alpha 7R are mirrorless full frame interchangeable lens cameras.
Sony Cyber Shot RX10 is a bridge type camera that comes with a 20.2-megapixel EXMOR R image sensor which is the same sensor we saw in the RX100 II. It is powered by a Bionz X processing engine and it comes with 24-200mm Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T Lens with aperture size of f2.8.
The camera offers P/A/S/M operating modes, ISO settings up to 12800 and connectivity features like WiFi and NFC. It is priced at Rs 84,990 and it will be available across various retail stores in India by December end.
Alpha 7 and Alpha 7R
Sony claims that the Alpha 7 and 7R are the smallest full frame mirrorless cameras in the world. Both the cameras are powered by Bionz X processor and they come with 35mm full-frame Exmor CMOS sensor, bright XGA OLED Tru-finder, support full HD video recording and support WiFi & NFC.
Alpha 7 and 7R weighs 416 and 406 grams respectively. 7R features a 36.4MP full frame sensor that allows 14-bit RAW recording whereas Alpha 7 comes with a 24.3MP resolution that allows 14-bit RAW recording. Both the cameras are compatible with Sony E-mount and full frame lenses.
Alpha 7 and 7R will be available for Rs 94,990 and Rs 1,24,990 respectively across various retailers in India by December end.
