Sony India today launched its α6300 mirrorless cameras in India for a price of 74,990 INR. The camera provides with 4D Focus that can lock focus on a subject in just 0.05 seconds. This is also the fastest AF acquisition time, claims Sony.
The new AF mechanism combines high-speed phase detection AF with high-accuracy contrast AF for fast focus locking. The sensor places 425 phase detection AF points over nearly the entire field of view. This is further aided by the new high-density tracking AF technology that can quickly activate a large number of AF points surrounding a subject (approximately 7.5 times more density than the α6000).
The latest Sony offering includes a 24.2 MP APS-C sized Exmor CMOS sensor with ISO sensitivity range 100 – 51200 that works together with BIONZ X image processing engine. The new image sensor employs copper wiring in its structure, which improves light collection efficiency and significantly accelerates readout speed.
The Sony α6300 supports continuous shooting on LCD screen at up to 8 frames per second. The camera combines the benefits of both electronic (high-resolution XGA OLED Tru-Finde with approximately 2.4 million dots) and optical viewfinder. You can also record up to 29 minutes of 4K videos in the popular Super 35mm format. The camera achieves this without any pixel binning.
Other enhancements to the α6300 include silent shooting functionality, the ability to use AF in focus magnifier mode, expanded flexible spot AF, Eye AF in AF-C mode, 9 customizable buttons and more.
Sony α6300- ILCE-6300L/B IN5 (with SELP1650 lens) is available at all Sony Center, Alpha flagship stores and major electronic stores across India for Rs. 74,990.
