Oppo brings another selfie-centric smartphone, the A37, to India. Priced at 11,990 INR, the Oppo A37 will retail as an affordable smartphone starting from 1st July, 2016. The handset will be available in Gold and Grey color options.
So, what makes it capable of taking great selfies? To start with, Oppo has fitted a large 1/ 4 inch 5MP BSI+ sensor at the front. The sensor has large 1.4 micrometer pixel size to absorb more light even in poor indoor lighting. Moreover, the display fires up ‘Retina flash’ style to double as LED flash. The camera software also integrates beautify 4.0 to smoothen your skin tones and hide blemishes effectively.
On the rear side, Oppo A37 includes an 8MP camera with 1/ 3.2 inch sensor and same 1.4 micrometer pixel size. Various shooting modes, filters, and interpolation to stitch 24MP images and other software features are also present to assist users with photography.
Talking of software, the Oppo A37 is running Android 5.1 Lollipop based Color OS 3.1 out of the box. Oppo claims that its new Android skin is 20 percent faster than the last one, and is also more power efficient.
The handset is just 7.68 mm thick and quite light at 135 grams. The 5-inch HD display on Oppo A37 is protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4. Other features include quad core Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 128GB microSD card support, 4G LTE connectivity on both SIM card slots, Dirac HD audio, and 2630 mAh battery.
The SIM slot isn’t hybrid, which means you won’t have to choose between second SIM and secondary storage.
