Samsung Galaxy Star launched in India for Rs 5,240

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Star(GT-S5282) in India. It was announced last month along with Galaxy Pocket Neo. Galaxy Star  runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and it is a Dual SIM smartphone. It has a feature called as Smart Dual SIM which allows the user receive calls on one SIM number while taking a call from the other.

The phone features a 3 inch touch screen display and it is powered by a 1GHz processor along with 512MB of RAM. It comes with 4GB internal storage which can be expanded using a microSD card. Galaxy Star comes with 2 megapixel camera at the back.

It is powered by a 1200mAh battery. The device comes preloaded with ChatON which is Samsung’s cross platform instant messaging service and Google Now which is an intelligent personal assistant integrated with Google Search mobile application.

Samsung Galaxy Star is now available in India for Rs 5,240 (MRP). It comes with a free data offer from Vodafone where users get 250MB of free 2G data per month for 2 months. The users can available this offer only if they buy the device before July 31 , 2013.
