Today Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear in India. These devices were unveiled at the IFA 2013 in Berlin. Galaxy Gear is the first smart watch launched by Samsung and the Note 3 is the 3rd device in the Note phablet series.
Talking first about the Galaxy Note 3, it features a 5.7 inch full HD super Amoled display and it runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. It is powered by 1.9Ghz Octa core processor (1.9Ghz Quad core Cortex A15 + 1.3Ghz quad core Cortex A7) along with 3GB of RAM. The device packs a 13 megapixel back camera with LED flash and a 2 megapixel front facing camera.
Unlike previous Note versions Note 3 has a soft and textured touch back cover which gives it a premium feel. The phone has 32Gb internal storage which can be expanded by using a microSD card of upto 64GB storage. It comes with 3200mAh battery and has tons of new features associated with S-Pen. Users can use S-Pen to access Air Command, Action Memo, Screen Write, S Finder, Pen Window and much more.
Galaxy Note 3 will be available across various retail stores in India from 25th September in Jet Black and Classic White colors for Rs 49,900 (MRP).
Along with Galaxy Note 3 Samsung also launched the Galaxy Gear Smart watch. It features a 1.63 inch Super Amoled touch screen display and a 1.9 megapixel camera. The watch can be used to take images and users can connect it to their Note 3 for getting notifications. It can also be used as a fitness tracker since it has in-built pedometer. The Galaxy Gear is currently priced at Rs 22,990 and it would be available in India from 25th September.
