Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy Camera in India. It was unveiled by Samsung at the IFA in Berlin this year and was available for pre-order on Samsung e-store in India from past few weeks. The Galaxy Camera is not like any other ordinary camera since it runs on Android 4.1 Jelly bean.
It has 16 megapixel sensor and 21x optical zoom. Galaxy Camera comes with a 4.8 inch HD Super Clear LCD screen which has a 1280×720 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz Quad-Core processor and comes with 8GB internal memory. It also has a microSD slot for expanding the storage.
Talking about the connectivity features, Galaxy camera supports 3G (microSIM), HDMI, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It comes with a 1650mAh battery and the best part is Samsung is offering an additional 1650mAh battery free with the Camera. The only bad thing about Galaxy camera is that you cannot use it as a phone since it does not support phone calls though it does support messaging.
It has a Smart Pro feature which offers 15 modes (Beauty face, Landscape, Best photo, Continuous shot, Best face, Macro, Action freeze, Rich tone, Panorama, Sunset, Night, Waterfall, Silhouette, Fireworks, Light trace), Auto mode and a Expert mode (P (Auto+), A (Aperture Priority), S (Speed Priority), Camcorder, M (Manual)).
Galaxy Camera comes with a pop-up Xenon Flash and a special Photo Wizard app which offers a set of 35 photo editing tools, pre-loaded Instagram app for quick sharing and Paper Artist app for photo editing. Samsung has even tied up with Airtel to offer 1GB of 3G data per month for two months. Samsung Galaxy Camera is now available in the Indian Markets at a price tag of Rs 29,900.
