After refreshing it’s A series portfolio with 2016 variants of A3, A5 and A7, Samsung has today officially introduced Galaxy A9 in China, which will be available in White, Gold and Pink color options. Samsung didn’t divulge any info regarding the availability or pricing of Galaxy A9.
Like other Galaxy A series handsets this one too includes a metal frame. Also, this time around, front and rear surface is covered in glass. Samsung has also included a fingerprint sensor clubbed with the hard home button.
As far as specs are concerned, Galaxy A9 flaunts a 6 inch full HD Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor where four cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and other four cores are clocked at 1.2 GHz. Chipset also includes 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, which can be further expanded by another 128GB using MicroSD card support.
On the camera department, Galaxy A9 sports a 13 MP rear camera with OIS, F1.9 aperture lens, and LED flash. The front 8MP selfies camera also includes a wide F1.9 aperture lens. On the software front, Galaxy A9 is still running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Other features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v 4.1, ANT+, NFC, Dual SIM card slots and a 4000 mAh battery, with fast charging support.
