Samsung has today launched its latest curved monitor CHG90 which is also the “World’s Biggest Curved Monitor” in India. The price for this monitor is 1, 50,000 INR and is already available for purchase on Samsung’s online store. It will also go on sale across leading offline retail outlets soon.
Samsung CHG90 monitor comes with a 49-inch screen with the support for HDR (High Dynamic Range) for better color and contrast and an aspect ratio of 32:9. The company also said that this is the first monitor ever which gets certification for DisplayHDR compliance from VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association).
Samsung CHG90 has 1ms motion picture response time and a 144Hz refresh rate to ensure that it prevents Ghosting and is fit for gaming. To assist long duration use, the monitor also has an eye saver mode that cuts out blue light to reduce eye fatigue.
Commenting at the launch, Vice-President, Consumer Electronics Enterprise Business, Samsung India, said, “Samsung has always been at the forefront of consumer-centric innovations and the launch of QLED curved monitor is in line with that very commitment.”.
Samsung’s blog post read also added that, “When granting DisplayHDR 600 certification to the CHG90, VESA cited the monitor’s use of HDR to elevate contrast ratio (3,000:1), colour accuracy and overall presentation vibrancy as an industry standard-setter.”
