Samsung’s 2nd Gen A – series handsets, which were earlier launched in China, have now gone official for India. The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) and Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) will start retailing on Snapdeal virtual retail shelves from 15th February for price of 33,400 INR and 29,400 INR.
The new A series handset retain the signature metal build and also add fingerprint sensor, besides improving on camera hardware. The Samsung Galaxy A7 has a bigger 5.5 Inch full HD display while the new Galaxy A5 variant has smaller 5.2 Inch Full HD super AMOLED panel.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 is powered by 1.6 GHz octa core processor, clubbed with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. For photography there is a 13MP rear camera with OIS and a 5MP front camera for selfies. Both the front and rear cameras have wide aperture F1.9 lens on top. The Galaxy A7 houses a 3300 mAh battery.
Besides a smaller display and a slightly smaller 2900 mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy A5 bears similar set of specifications as its bigger sibling.
Other common features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v 4.1, ANT+, USB 2.0, NFC, 128GB MicroSD card support, Android Lollipop based ROM and fast charging.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) and Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) will be available for 33,400 INR and 29,400 INR starting 15th February 2016. Airtel consumers will also benefit from 30GB bundled 4G data offer which they can access over a period of 6 months.
