Rugged Panasonic Toughbook CF-54 Launched In India At 1,39,000 INR

Panasonic has introduced its latest toughbook CF-54 (successor of CF- 53), a rugged PC, in India. Toughbook CF-54 is specially made for professionals who need to operate in extreme conditions.

This time, Panasonic has tried to make the packaging more attractive. Toughbook CF-54 is 50% thinner and 25% lighter than its predecessor CF-53 and will be available for a price of 1,39,000 INR.

Toughbook CF-54 features a sunlight viewable display and also has integrated 5th Generation Intel CoreTM i5-5300U vProTM Processor, with clock speed ranging from 2.3 GHz up to 2.9 GHz,  Intel Turbo Boost Technology paired with 4 GB of RAM which can be further expandable up to 16 GB.

Toughbook CF-54 is easy to carry outside as it comes with Spill Resistant Keyboard and  vibration, shock resistant features. Panasonic claims it can resist drops from 2.5 feet height too. It is 29.8 mm thin and weighs 1.99 kgs. It also houses a juicy battery which offers up to 11 hours of back up and also has a hot swappable feature which allows users to change battery without shutting down the computer.

Connectivity ports include USB x 3 (optional 4th USB), Optional Rugged Fischer USB, SDXC, Optional DVD Drive, Ethernet, Optional 2nd LAN (Ethernet), HDMI, Optional VGA, Optional Serial, Optional PC Card and  Headphone/Mic, Dock Connector.

Other features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth®, optional antenna pass through, optional 4G LTE multi carrier, optional dedicated GPS (u-blox) and Contactless SmartCard/NFC reader

Toughbook CF-54 will primarily target business professionals on the move including service engineers in the automotive diagnostic industry, field work and other business verticals, mainly for indoor maintenance.
