Qiku, one of the leading smartphone manufacturer in China is all set to enter the Indian market. The company unveiled their high-end smartphone Qiku Terra in China for $314 and it was sold out within 8 seconds. In India, the company will launch two versions of the smartphone – Terra 808 and Terra 810 by November 2015.
Qiku is a joint venture between Qihoo 360 and Coolpad. The Terra 810 smartphone features a 6 inch QHD display (2560 x 1440) and it is powered by Snapdragon 810 processor along with 4GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It packs two 13-megapixel cameras (Sony’s IMX278 sensor, f/1.8 aperture) at the back and an 8-megapixel front facing camera.
The phone comes with a 3,700 mAh battery and has fingerprint scanner placed on the back for added security. Qiku Terra 808 is powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor along with 3 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. Rest of the specifications are similar to Terra 810.
Both the smartphones run on 360 OS operating system which is a variation of Android 5.1 Lollipop. The company claims that the software has added security feature that is not present on any other smartphone available in the market.
The are no details about the pricing and exact availability of the two smartphones. But it is expected that the company will launch both the smartphones Under 20,000 INR.
