Panasonic has launched today its new smartphone Eluga I in Indian market. Earlier this month, Panasonic has launched its selfie focused smartphone Eluga S, and now the company has added a new device in its Eluga series, Eluga I with ‘Smart-Swipe’ functionality, priced at 9,490 INR.
Panasonic Eluga I comes with a 5 inch HD display with 720×1280 resolution. Panasonic has used “Raised Curve Display” design for this display, for better viewing angles. It is powered by 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor coupled with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32 GB via Micro SD Card.
Eluga I sports an 8 megapixel autofocus camera on its rear side with LED flash and Users can record Full HD 1080p videos from this rear camera. It also has a 2 MP camera at front which is good enough for selfie fans.
This smartphone is running Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and has company’s own “Fit Home” user interface on top. It has a 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery. Other features include- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, EDGE, 3G, A-GPS, Micro-USB, etc.
This device highlights a smart swipe feature which is basically support for swipe gestures. This device can recognize several swipe gestures and you can perform many tasks by swiping in a particular manner. For example three finger swipe down can be assigned to open facebook and swipe down can be used to open a contact shortcut, another app, etc.
Panasonic Eluga I will compete against Xiaomi Redmi Note, Asus Zenfone 5, Eluga S, Celkon Millennia Epic Q550, etc.
This Dual-Sim smartphone is available in three color options – Silver, Black and White and ships along with an interactive Flip cover and a screen guard in the box for a price of 9,490 INR.
