Leading Chinese manufacturer, Oppo has revealed the price of ultra slim smartphone Oppo R5 in India. The 4.85 mm slim R5 will be available for pre-booking in India starting from 1st January 2015 for a price of 29,990 INR. R5 was earlier launched in Singapore on 29th October 2014 in a global event and enjoyed the status of world’s slimmest smartphone for the next few weeks.
Oppo R5 features a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with full-HD 1080×1920 pixels resolution. It is powered by 64-bit Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 processor clocked at 2.1 GHz Quad Core + 1.5 GHz Quad Core paired with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory which is not expandable.
Oppo R5 equipped with a 13 MP camera on its rear side with Sony IMX214 sensor and a LED flash which is capable for 4K video recording. It also has a 5 MP camera at front with 83-degree wide angle lens which is good enough for selfies and video chats.

It also has a 2000 mAh battery onboard with the support of VOOC charging technology which claims to charge 75 percent battery in around 30 minutes. On the software front, Oppo R5 runs on Color OS 2.0.1 which is based on Android 4.4 KitKat. Connectivity options include EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, GPRS, Micro USB port, USB OTG and single Micro SIM slot.
