Oppo Joy launched in India for Rs. 8,990

Oppo India has launched a new handset for the Indian market this time a sub 10k handset. Oppo Joy the 3G enabled budget smartphone targetted for the first time smartphone users and the young generation with low spending expenditures now have a good option to look upon.

Oppo on May 7, 2014 expanded their smartphone portfolio in the Indian market with the launch of Oppo Joy. Adding this to the other four which are the OPPO R1, OPPO Find 5, Oppo N1 and OPPO Neo, the company now hold five products for the Indian consumers to choose from.



Oppo Joy is an Android 4.2 Jelly Bean running smartphone with sleek looks and exquisite design. It actually runs on ColorOS and supports dual SIM standby. The Oppo Joy comes with an unique Hotknot technology, first in India which securely and rapidly enables file sharing taking low power and fast transmission at zero additional cost.
Supporting custom gestures, ColorOS offers users with ultra-operating experience which as of now is only available on Oppo handsets. It comes with their own cloud storage giving users free 5GB space which they call as O-Cloud.

The handset features a 4.0” WVGA HD screen with nano coating all around the handset and comes with 3MP rear camera. It also features a VGA (0.3MP) front-facing camera and packs a 1.3GHz dual-core processor, 4GB memory which is further expandable via microSD slot up to 32GB and a 1,700mAh battery.

The leading chinese smartphone brand is trying to expand their network has targeted 200 new service centres in the country and a large product portfolio of over 10 smartphones by the end of the year.

Oppo Joy is now available in the country for Rs. 8,990 and is available in 12 major cities in the country which are New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Kolkata, Pune and Lucknow.
