Chinese smartphone maker, OPPO has today announced its low cost smartphone – Joy 3 in India. The company had already listed this smartphone on its website last month. OPPO Joy 3 will be available at all OPPO stores and other major retail outlets in India for Rs. 7,990.
If we talk about specifications, OPPO Joy 3 features a 4.5 inch IPS display with the resolution of 480 X 854 pixels (FWVGA) which amounts to 218 ppi. It is equipped with 1.3 GHz Quad Core MediaTek MT6582 SoC along with Mali 400 MP2 GPU and 1 GB of RAM.
OPPO Joy 3 packs a 5 MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash and is capable of HD video recording. There is also a 2 MP secondary camera at front for selfies. It is backed by a 2000 mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 180 hours of standby time.
OPPO Joy 3 comes with 4 GB internal memory which can be further expanded by up to 32 GB using micro SD card. It is running company’s own Color OS 2.0 which is based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
Commenting on the launch of Joy 3 Mr. Tom Lu, CEO, OPPO Mobiles India said “OPPO Joy 3 is a successor of Joy Plus which combines appearance, fine camera quality at an affordable price. The device offers endless possibilities and enjoyment to the consumers both in rural and urban India. Indian market is our top most priority and we want to launch models across categories which combine style, technology and design.”
OPPO Joy 3 is 8.0mm thick and will be available in White and Matte Grey color variants. Connectivity options include EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB port, USB OTG, GPS / A-GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack and Dual SIM functionality.
