Obi Worldphone SF1 launched in India for Rs. 11,999

With a surge of so many new smartphone companies and smartphones entering the Indian market, India is currently one of the most active markets for this amazing piece of technology that every hold in their hands today.

Obi Worldphone SF1 is a new smartphone from Obi Worldphone who are once again trying to tap into the Indian markets after a “not so successful” trial in 2014. The Obi Worldphone SF1 is a smartphone launched in the mid-range category which is one of the hottest smartphone categories right now.


The Obi Worldphone SF1 comes with all the bells and whistles that makes it a great smartphone in the range of Rs. 10,000-Rs. 15,000. The SF in the name stands for San Fransisco and it denotes the place where the phone was designed.

Many of you might not be knowing it, but the company i.e. Obi Worldphone is a company that is being operated by John Skully who once used to be the CEO of Apple.

The phone was created for the audience who were looking for a nice phone with premium features in the mid-range category and it actually has a lot of offer. Let us talk about every aspect of the phone one by one.

It has a full HD 1080p 5-inches IPS display and the device is powered by Snapdragon 615 along with 2/3GB RAM and you get 16/32GB internal storage depending on which model you choose.

The design of the phone is impressive and the first thing you will notice after holding it will be that the phone has a really nice feel to it and all thanks to the all-metal construction with the top and bottom rocking the anodized aluminium finish.

You have the typical set of buttons including the power lock/unlock button along with the volume rocker on the left and on the right it has a SIM slot which can be used to insert either two SIM cards at once or 1 SIM card and 1 SD card in it. You will find a 3.5mm audio jack and on the bottom you will find a micro-USB port.

The are two speaker mesh on the bottom but keep in mind that there is just one speaker on the device. The other one houses the microphone.

  • 2GB RAM; 16GB ROM for Rs. 11,999
  • 3GB RAM; 32GB ROM for Rs. 13,999
