Nokia brand is back in action with the launch of the first HMD marketed and Foxconn made handset – the Nokia 6. However, Nokia fans are advised to hold their excitement as the Nokia 6 is a mid-range handset that will be restricted to China.
The new Nokia phone is running Android 7.0 Nougat based operating system. Nokia wants the 6 to look the part. It’s quite slim measuring 7.8mm in thickness, is crafted from a single block of 6000 series Aluminum, has a 5.5-inch full HD display and a 2.5D curved Gorilla glass layered on the front.
For photography, there is a 16MP rear camera with PDAF and f/2.0 lens. The front 8MP sensor too has the same bright aperture optics.
The decidedly entry-grade Snapdragon 430 at the hardware helms plays the veritable Achilles heel here. However, the 4GB RAM and ample 64GB storage assisting it should soften the blow.
The Nokia 6 accepts 2 SIM cards, allows you to plugin up to 128GB of secondary storage, benefits from dual speakers with multimedia support, has a fingerprint sensor clubbed with the home button on the front and houses a 3000mAh battery.
Other features include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB OTG. In China, Nokia 6 will be available from JD.com in black color for 1699 Yuan (roughly Rs. 16,700).
