Nissan and PlayStation partnered to launch the Nissan PlayStation GT Academy which is a driver discovery and development programme for motor sports aspirants in India. With the launch of GT Academy, Nissan one of the India’s youngest global automobile brands will be able to connect more effectively and closely with Indian audience and will get to know them better.
Nissan’s GT Academy is an international award winning programme which has got immense response from the public in Europe, Russia, USA, and the Middle east and South Africa and now launching the programme in India signifies the need of this inclusion in the international league.
GT Academy’s Indian qualifying rounds will begin with ‘Live Events’ in shopping malls in five select Indian cities which are New Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai. At a later stage it will also include an online qualifying round that will be hosted on the PlayStation Network (PSN). Nissan will host the inaugural round of the competition on February 6, 2014 at the Delhi Auto Expo, organized at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida in the National Capital Region.
